Museum Night is an international event dedicated to the International Museum Day, during which museum exhibits can be viewed at night. On this night, many museums are open to visitors after sunset and almost until the morning.

Two options for participation are traditionally offered for all participants - either in the “Evening” format (from 18:00 to 23:00), or in the “Night” format (from 18:00 to 06:00). As always, to participate in the project you need to prepare a special program.
The theme of “Nights of Museums” in 2020 is “Symbols”.
In Moscow, more than 250 cultural institutions (museums, galleries and art clusters) were opened for this event.
By tradition, art takes to the streets. On the territory of pedestrian zones of Moscow, "Night Stations" are organized - open multi-genre spaces where events of the parallel cultural and educational program "Nights at the Museum" are held.
The same venues become a platform for open communication between cultural institutions and the guests of the action: the information centers of the Night Stations tell about the most striking projects of museums, exhibition halls and other institutions over the past year.
Artists invite guests to their workshops, art volunteers participate in the action "School of a night guide." A continuation of the excursion program "Nights at the Museum" includes walks in Moscow museums with famous figures of culture and art.
