International Art Festival "Dreams of Dunes"

The third open international art festival "Dreams of Dunes-2019" will be held on the territory of one of the most popular tourist sites of the region - the Cultural and Historical Complex "Saray-Batu" in the Kharabalinsky district. This is a new concept of the famous Golden Horde music festival in the past, which dates back to 2011.

Festival participants will have a unique opportunity to demonstrate their talents on the site of the historical location of the ancient capital of the Golden Horde.

The festival organizers prepared for the lovers of educational tourism a rich and interesting program, including three main events: “Military-historical reconstruction“ Bunchuk Baty ”, an open competition in applied art - sand sculptures, the musical program“ Golden Horde ”.

During the day, guests of the festival will be able to see competitions of lancers, archers, swordsmen, and a hunt for bison. Everyone who wants to join the culture and everyday life of the Middle Ages will have the opportunity to get acquainted with the costumes of the time of the Golden Horde, learn about the life of the Zolordynian nomadic warriors and even try on armor. The festival is attended by military history clubs from the regions of Russia and the Astrakhan region.

Those interested will be able to observe the unique work of sculptors who sculpt their works of sand in the open air. The competition will be attended by sculptors from Astrakhan and other cities. Guests of the festival will have a unique chance to see real masterpieces of plain sand.

In the evening, the opening of the musical platform “Golden Horde” will take place, where musical groups from different regions of Russia and neighboring countries who have submitted applications for participation in the festival will be performing until late at night.

Applications for participation in the festival-contest are accepted by the Organizing Committee until August 2019 from teams and enthusiasts of historical reconstruction, sculptors who want to create their work out of sand, and musical groups.
